OK this section STINKS.. I
am just NOT with it!! I eat whatever, I count my calories, my protien,
my carbs BIG TIME... and I eat it! I have a glass of wine every now and
then, and I drink double the water! BUT the below is really good. I have
now found a new recipe, calling for two scoops of a vanilla protien drink,
a TBSP of instant decaf coffee and one cup water, four ice cubes and BLEND!
WAHOOOO Frappachino!
I have not had the pleasure
of finding out what works for me, other then I am SO concerned about protien.
There is this website, his name is Basil,
he is INCREDIBLE and he has this KILLER
recipe, I have made it, it is awesome and he is right it REALLY tastes
like chocolate cake batter!!!!! SO the FIRST recipe!!! This is BASIL's
creation, I cannot take the credit.. but yummmmmmmmmmm is it GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!
Protein is good for you, and
my recipe makes a protein shake that tastes like chocolate cake batter.
take a cup
add 2 ounces of water
add 2 scoops of chocolate 100% pure whey protein (available at GNC --
don't let them talk you into the vitamin-fortified crap). 264 calories,
42 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat and 3 grams of sugar.
add 2 scoops of chocolate dry soy shake mix (also available at GNC --
you need the soy for the two amino acids that are really hard to find
from anything else on the planet except for soy). 110 calories, 23 grams
of protein, 1 gram of fat and 0 grams of sugar.
add 1-2 tablespoons of No Sugar Added Nesquik chocolate powder. 180 calories,
0 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat and 0 grams of sugar.
Mix this stuff up with a spoon until it's the consistency of pudding.
Add more water until it's the consistency you want. Mixing the ingredients
in this way eliminates little pockets of dry unmixed ingredients.
This recipe has 374 calories, 65 grams of protein, 4 grams of fat and
3 grams of sugar. I split it out over two or three glasses over the day.
This formula gives me the recommended 60 grams of supplemental protein
a day for gastric bypass patients, it's very yummy, and eliminates all
of my desires for food for about two hours. It's even better if you mix
it with an electric "boat motor" hand blender.
